Linguistic Center

The Linguistic Center was founded at the Foreign Languages Department of the National Mining University on May, 5, 1998. We offer English language courses for people studying English on various stages, from beginning to advanced: 

• General English (basic level)
• General English (intermediate level)
• General English (advanced level)
• Business English
• English for Scientists
• International exam preparation (IELTS)

In addition to the main course of language the students can participate in   

 

   - meetings of Creative&Critical Thinking Club and Travel the World & Ukraine Club      
       - performances of the English Drama Theatre       
     - parties and concerts

 

The teaching staff consists of experienced lecturers who are the members of such EFL teachers' associations as IATEFL and TESOL. As active members of these organizations they are well aware of modern innovative approaches to teaching English.

     

The Centre focuses on the creative and intellectual growth of learners as well as cross-cultural awareness and national and world-wide values.This, together with grounded knowledge of English, has enabled our students to find good jobs in international corporations.
